Reckless Abandon

This film is some exceptional writing from Joe Harrison that put my directing skills to the test. I had so much help from some exceptional individuals and can't be more psyched and thankful. I wanted to show the storyboards and planning right next to the final images of the final products of Reckless Abandon. The film now has thousands of views and got picked as an Official Selection at the Venice Shorts film festival. Which begs the question, should we actually attempt to make this movie? In this video I show a bit of history with a film I starred in with Thomas Tiggleman "The Thin Brothers Visit Room 213." Which will be linked at some point in the video!!!! If you haven't seen the film, here it is. Give Joe a Like and Subscribe if you visit!!!

Authority

Authority is not a comfortable film to watch, but it was never meant to be. The reason I wanted to make this film is very simple. This kind of thing happens everyday, and usually it is ignored. Until very recently many institutions including filmmaking have been exposed for having condoned this type of behavior for years. A general example would be the success and fall of Harvey Weinstein, but this film isn’t about the filmmaking industry. Read More Here.

Scarecrow Screentest

I tell stories about misunderstood monsters because in my experience the real monsters are always right in front of you in life. The ones that wait in the shadows, wait patiently to help, and listen are the heroes. My ideas of the supernatural and god are always begged into question when it comes to the curiosity of the unIverse. While I don't believe in a god or a man at the center, I can dabble in the supernatural, the omnipotent, omniscient, and Omnipresent. I can believe in guardian angels of human and supernatural sizes. These unique circumstances offer him a solution to his insurmountable financial troubles. Though he may not be the only one aware of these anomalies.

February 28

This is our marker for when the 30 films started. Mirror was the third film in our block. We wanted to push ourselves production-wise obtaining a Lamborghini as the picture car. Several got a chance to park it and ride in it a little bit. We didn’t take it around the block but I don’t think any of us had insurance to do so.

Follow in my Wake

Follow In My Wake is about what we left behind. Where we are going, and whether we can look into the past and salvage a relationship that never quite timed out correctly. Many have been here. You have affections for someone but the timing just never works out. You get into a relationship right when they end theirs. Vice-versa.

Are people truly meant to be together? If they are, do they have a way of ending up together?

THE TOWER

Sometimes you write something that becomes a mystery even to yourself. Stuck trying to connect the dots of the story. It is Intoxicating. Intriguing. The only thing left to do is produce it hoping to unravel the story.

The Tower is not an exception. It was elusive when I wrote it. I knew the conflict and outline of the story. I put pen to paper. But a crucial piece of the story was still hidden from me.

The solution to the story came from a screening where audience members were asking for a solution. What happened to this couple? What caused their hospitalization?

The answer lies in the main transition of the film. See for yourself, and enjoy!

Shot by Josiah Duncan with help from Adan Allen. Starring Jordan Leigh Wheatley and Scott Van Wye.
