2025 Film and Commercial Work
This one goes fast, and there isn’t much set up time for each scene. It uses real life people ( NOT ACTORS) in a real life staged scenario at the high-school chosen.(This case was Bishop Union High School) The work definitely is a test of Cinema Verite. Incredible to be a DOP for, and help Jason Brown with his direction.
Not your typical Gas Station “Spot.”
Working with Nate was one of my favorite experiences this year so far. What wonders you can achieve in Cinema when you hire on great performers. Acting embodies a character, allowing performers to explore human experience and emotion. Through physicality, vocal expression, and interpretation, actors immerse audiences in various worlds. Whether on stage or screen, it requires skill, creativity, and empathy, connecting performers with their roles and viewers to foster a shared understanding of humanity.
Shooting a Sitcom Commercial for “The Window Guy”
A sitcom spot shoot involves filming a scene in a sitcom. The cast and crew gather at a studio or a set that looks like a real place. Actors deliver their lines on camera, and the director oversees the action to keep the comedy and performances on point. Lighting and sound technicians improve the production quality, while the editing team may check the footage to maintain continuity. The aim is to create a polished segment that highlights the humor and character interactions important to the show.
Fly Fishing with my Dad
My dad and I have always love the film “A River Runs Through It” and we got to live that film, that dream, on a day in the Sierra.
A River Runs Through It
In the quiet embrace of the mountains, a river flows, carving its way through the landscape with a persistence that echoes the passage of time. This waterway, with its crystal-clear currents and gentle ripples, holds a tapestry of life along its banks. Fish dart beneath the surface, while birds flit overhead, each a testament to the vibrant ecosystem nurtured by the river’s life-giving presence.
As seasons change, so too does the character of the river. In spring, it swells with the melting snow, transforming into a powerful force that rushes with fervor, embodying the raw energy of rebirth. Summer brings tranquility, as the sun's warmth bathes the water in golden hues, inviting families to gather for picnics on its shores. Autumn introduces a palette of fiery colors, reflected in its depths, while winter casts a serene silence, cloaking the world in a blanket of white, the river’s flow reduced to a whisper beneath the ice.
The river not only shapes the land but also weaves through the stories of those who live alongside it. Generations of families have found solace and adventure in its waters. Children skip stones along its banks, while elders share tales of days gone by, forever tied to this winding thread of nature. The river stands as a witness to laughter, sorrow, and the passage of time, an ever-present reminder of both nature's beauty and life's impermanence.
In the heart of this landscape, the river runs not just through the earth, but through the lives it touches, a lifeline connecting past, present, and future in an unbroken flow. Each bend and curve tells a story, each drop of water an echo of the lives that unfold alongside it. A river runs through it, and in this running, it brings with it a sense of continuity, a profound understanding of the interconnection between nature and humanity.
My Friend Welds Stuff, and it’s cooler than you.
Welding is life. It is more than just a skill; it is an intricate dance of metal and heat, where art meets functionality. The process transforms raw materials into structures that support, protect, and inspire. Each weld tells a story, bridging gaps and connecting pieces with strength and permanence.
In the world of welding, precision is key. Every angle, every bead of molten metal must be executed with care, as even the slightest miscalculation can compromise the integrity of the structure being created. This precision requires not only technical skill but also an understanding of materials, methods, and the physics that govern their behavior when exposed to high temperatures.
Welders often work in diverse environments, from the quiet solitude of a workshop to the roaring chaos of a construction site. The ability to adapt and innovate in various settings is crucial. Whether working on small-scale projects like sculptures or large infrastructures such as bridges and buildings, welders become integral to the construction process.
Safety is paramount in welding. The job demands respect for the dangers involved, including exposure to intense heat, harmful fumes, and the risk of fire. Proper gear, a knowledge of safety protocols, and a vigilant mindset are essential components of a welder's toolkit.
Moreover, welding fosters a sense of community. It brings together people who share a passion for creating, repairing, and improving the world around them. Classes, workshops, and trade shows create opportunities for knowledge exchange and skill development, ensuring the craft continues to evolve.
Ultimately, welding merges art with engineering, transforming visions into reality. It is a vital profession that shapes not only the environment but also the lives of those who practice it. For many, welding isn't just a job; it is a calling that defines purpose and ignites creativity.
